FDA Approved Ingredient

Seapolynol® has also been approved by the Food & Drug Administrations of USA, Europe, South Korea and Ireland as a new dietary ingredient. This means that the safety of this ingredient has been independently reviewed and approved by numerous government organizations.

It is the only Ecklonia cava extract that can be legally sold in these countries.

Selected & Purified compounds

Seanol® is more purified than whole natural extracts.

Seanol® contains only specific compounds called phlorotannins, and the purification process removes any environmental contaminants such as iodine, iron, lead or other heavy metals.

Investigational New Drug

Ecklonia cava phlorotannins, under the name PH100, was approved as an Investigational New Drug (IND) by the United States FDA in 2013. It is undergoing clinical trials in the United States and in other countries.

It has already completed phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials.

Ecklonia cava phlorotannins are not yet approved as drugs, but are being investigated in humans for treatment of various conditions.
